his is a 10-15 minute assembly about vaccinations. It is not specifically about Covid 19 vaccinations but more about vaccinations in childhood and in general. However, it could easily be used to cover Covid-19 vaccinations as well. It is suitable for KS3-KS4 (Ages 11-18, Grades 6-13, Years 7-13) and was originally a year 9 tutor time PSHE session. It focuses on the key question, Why is getting vaccinated so important for public health? It covers: What vaccines are and why they are important 3 short downloaded videos that will never disappear about: WHO immunisation for all programme A world without vaccines How vaccines work It ends with a plenary discussion task There are no written activities just information and discussion. This fits into the new RSE and Health Curriculum, PSHE or Whole School assembly approach to Healthy Living.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about avoiding debt and saving money. This is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and can be used as part of the Finance Education curriculum, PSHE & Citizenship and as a tutor time whole school assembly. It covers: Why it is best to avoid debt How can they avoid debt A video about creating a budget A video about saving money A discussion task as a quick plenary. This is a 15-20 minute assembly about community cohesion. It can be used for a tutor time PSHE session or whole school session for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, years 7-13) and tackles the important issue of cohesion amongst the community. It has one slide that is specific to Birmingham but this can be altered or still used outside the city. There are discussion questions and no written activities although these could be easily adapted to last for an entire lesson if needed. It includes: What Community Cohesion is Why it it important Has Community Cohesion improved in the city & in the UK? Plenary thinking task about our responsibility to make our community cohesive. Students reacted very positively to this resource; it was originally a Year 10 tutor time PSHE/Citizenship session and fits into the PSHE, RSHE, FBV, SMSC and Citizenship curriculum.

This is a 10-15 minute tutor time resource about British Values. It could be used for an assembly or PSHE/Citizenship/FBV/SMSC session. It explains what the five British values are, how these should be implemented, a discussion about universal values, a focus on the first two values. - Democracy and the Rule of Law. There are many discussion tasks and these could be written tasks if you wanted to lengthen it to a whole lesson. There are three short videos that are downloaded so will never disappear. This was originally an assembly for KS3-KS5 but can also be used as a tutor time session for KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 and is suitable for all year groups (Ages 8-18, Years 4-13). This gives a great overview of British Values and has been positively received by many students.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about finance. This is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) as a focus on finance education or PSHE or a standalone assembly. It covers: How it is best to manage your money Key financial vocabulary Video about banks, money and credit Video about how compound interest works A financial acrostic poem activity Each video is downloaded so will never disappear and introduces students to financial vocabulary. It was originally a PSHE tutor time session for Year 8 but is suitable for a wider audience. There are no written activities but they can be adapted to last a whole lesson if required.

This was originally a 60 minute Year 10 lesson to introduce the world of work and preparing for job interviews. It covers body language, dress, how to give a good impression at an interview, body language and some suggested careers. There is a worksheet to accompany it with this lesson but it can be used without it. This lesson is suitable for older KS3-KS4 pupils (13-18 years old) and as part of their PSHE, Careers or Work Experience session in a tutor time. It can be easily shortened or lengthened and has worked well with my students.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about the dangers of ketamine. This is suitable for upper KS3-KS5 (Years 9-13, Ages 13-18) and fits well into the new RSE & Health curriculum, the PSHE & Citizenship curriculum as well as the Keeping children Safe in Education Safesguarding document. It contains: What ketamine is The dangers and risks of the drug Discussion about the class of the drug A short video clip about how ketamine can affect you A short video clip with a case study about addiction and the consequences of taking the drug There are no written activities in this session only discussion tasks but it could easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson. The video clips are both downloaded so they will never disappear! This session was received well by the students and covers an important part of modern day drug education.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly or PSHE tutor time session for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) about social media. It goes through the legal restrictions of different platforms, the advantages and disadvantages of social media and the addiction it can cause. There are discussion activities and videos but no written activities. The three short video clips are downloaded so will never disappear. The presentation will last approximately 15 minutes but can be lengthened or shortened easily to fit a whole lesson. This fits into the new Relationships & Health Education Curriculum, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Mental Health focus, SMSC & FBV agendas. Students reacted very well to this session.

This is a 15 minute session which can be used for tutor time, PSHE, pastoral session or an assembly. It includes definitions, discussion activities, downloaded video, sources of practical support and ends with a quiz plenary. It covers what coercive control is, how pupils can recognise it and where to seek support. It is suitable for KS4 or KS5 (Years 10-13, Ages 14-18) students and explains the legal aspects of coercive control. It links to the new RSE and Health Curriculum and can be used in conjunction to my coercive control lesson also in my shop to create a whole unit on this important topic.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly about World Hunger Day, specifically in 2022 but could easily be adapted for other years. It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12) and includes a point of reflection/discussion activity at the end that could easily be lengthened with planning an activity if you wanted it to last for a 60-90 minute lesson instead. It was used as an assembly for the whole school Ages 11-18 and was received very well by the students. This session fits into the Citizenship and PSHE curriculum but also covers SMSC, History, Geography and Fundamental British Values. Students reacted very well to this as an assembly and many interesting discussions came from it. This is a two document package. One is a two sided powerpoint giving 60 PSHE tasks for students to do to keep themselves occupied and to learn about some important issues. This was originally used as a resource for when students were in lockdown at home but has been revamped as a resource with 18 tasks for pupils isolating or alternatives for students if they are pulled out of a PSHE lesson for any reason. There is also some mindfulness colouring in case students are struggling with an issue and just need some time out. There are also some links included to Oak Academy lessons that can be done as home learning. You will get both documents here in case you prefer one to the other or need both for the same purposes as I am using them. Suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and many students have commented about how much they learnt and enjoyed these activities.

There is some more information and discussion activities. It was originally a PSHE tutor time session for Year 8 and does not have any written tasks. It can be used for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and forms part of the Keeping Safe in Education Safeguarding guidance, the new RSE & Health Curriculum and the current PSHE and Citizenship criteria. It is a quick snapshot of the work of UNICEF most suitable for an assembly or tutor time but can be lengthened to last a whole lesson and a wider audience. Students reacted very well to this resource and it evoked important discussions.

This is a collection of 20 riddles that can be used with tutor groups from the ages of 9-18. It could be used to aid discussions and debates and to improve communication and thinking skills as part of PSHE or SMSC provision.

This is a 15-20 minute presentation to teach students about how to master self-disciple. It gives practical tips, definitions and has a 9 minute video with discussion tasks which is downloaded so it will never disappear! It has no written tasks as it was originally a PSHE session for tutor time for KS3. It is also relevant for KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and was received well by many students. It covers the Key Skill Curriculum, the new RSE & Health Curriculum, Character Education, PSHE, Citizenship and can be used as an assembly.

This PowerPoint assembly is fully narrated and covers some guidance for KS3-KS5 pupils about respecting their local community. This is particularly relevant for July 2021 as it goes through the easing of the lockdown restrictions in the UK. It can also be used as a more general tutor time session for PSHE on how to show respect and be kind to others. It includes two videos and two discussion questions at the end. It is 12 minutes in length as a narrated PPoint and then it leaves a few minutes to discuss how they think they can help the local community in the lead up to the Euros, the easing of restrictions and the summer holidays.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about emergency first aid. It covers how to perform CPR and stop heavy bleeding. This is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grade 6-12) and can be used as a tutor time session, PSHE or Citizenship lesson or Health whole school assembly. It fits into the new RSE and Health Curriculum of 2020 but can be used for other purposes to teach people these important life saving skills. This was originally used for a Year 11 PSHE tutor time session about emergency first aid after an introduction to CPR earlier in the year and in school.
